Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Physics

The Department of Physics at Hiram College is seeking applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position to teach introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses in physics (including labs) beginning in August of 2025. An ability to involve student researchers in the applicant's area(s) of interest is also encouraged.

A Ph.D. in physics or a related discipline, awarded by June 2025, is required, and some experience in teaching at the undergraduate level is strongly preferred. This is a 10-month faculty position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Physics is part of The School of Science and Technology, along with the Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, Neuroscience, and Mathematics departments.
